ScheduleSource today deployed its re-designed and enhanced Shift Bidding System, a part of the ScheduleSource TeamWork next generation suite of applications for Workforce Management.
“We have seen that organizations where shift bidding is required are often still relying on cumbersome and time consuming manual or semi-automated processes to manage shift bidding”, says Scott Hammers, Chief Technology Officer at ScheduleSource. “In particular, many organizations today still require employees to physically appear at a bidding location and manually review bid line options. This system both eliminates all of that arduous and repetitive work but also provides an exceptionally complete system fully accessible directly from the employee self service portal of the ScheduleSource system.”
The new ScheduleSource system lets administrators create any number of bid lines (tours) in any type of complex format. Bid lines can be of any length, any pattern and can include not just time or day rotations but job rotations as well. Multiple bids can be built and run simultaneously, for any number of bids, for any group of employees, for either work schedules or vacation schedules.
All employees access the system through their employee self service portal where they can preview or bid open bids. They can filter bid line options to their specific preferences, select and prioritize their bid choices and then continuously monitor the status of their bid in real time.
Since the bidding system is fully integrated into the ScheduleSource TeamWork system, completed bids are instantly available for deployment into schedules.
